Though he had very little to call his own, working on the relationships with other prides was important. He remembered this from his time as a prince when his father had some close-knit relations with other groups. He had.. basically no members currently, but things changed as the wind did. He was sure the ruling duo could come up with some kind of agreement. Runar wouldn't mind making a friend of the empress either beyond the bounds of their kingdoms. With these intentions in mind, he walked the distance between the rainforest and the lake territory in search of a good spot to summon the empress. Once he settled on a sunny spot, he would recline onto his haunches and call for her.

The call that jolted the goddess from her drowsy rest had come not far from beyond her borders. The sound was recognisable, the event that had been planned was to take place- the possibility of an alliance between Ignis and Autumna. She had found she liked Runar, the leader of the so far empty pride. He was interesting, and seemed to have ambitions that could further him in a good way.

From the spot atop a pale rock, where she basked in the light of the sun, she stood, stretching her dark limbs and yawning. Her own call echoed, calling to her king to accompany her during this possible alliance making, and then made her way to where the obsidian jeweled male waited. "Hello again, high emporer Runar- it's nice to see you again. My rex is on his way." she stated.

Hunter too was resting. But not out in the sun gods forbid. No, he was lounging in his den, quite comfortable on a mound of fluffy dry grass and hides. And then came first the call at the border for Volcan, followed by, unsurprisingly, Volcan summoning him.

There was nothing in either tone that suggested urgency, so he would not 'rush'. But nor would he drag his paws. Curiosity had been sparked and the Rex was pleased enough to respond and go see what was going on at the borders. Or rather, the reason they were being visited as he assumed from the call it was a visit.

"To what do we owe the pleasure of a visit?" He would smoothly rumble, gaze curious and only slightly piecing but set to a friendly-neutral expression as Hunter moved to slid up near Volcan's left side. "Hunter Shakti. Rex." he said by way of polite introduction, head tilting slightly in greeting. Manners had been drilled into him by his father after all.

He was not left waiting for long, the inky form of the empress manifested in his field of vision. “Hello again Empress Volcan.” He would return her greeting with a respectful sip of his skull. The mention of a ruling partner to be joining them piqued his interest as he waited for the lion she had chosen to rule beside her. He would appear a beast to nearly rival his own size but Runar still had a bit more on him. “A pleasure Hunter. I wanted to speak of pride relations with both of you.” He would state his reason for summoning the pair with ease and left the floor open from there.

Volcan purred warmly at the Rex's arrival, gently pressing her nose against his cheek in greeting. With them both there, all the leaders could be on the same page. She turned her attention back to Runar, a elegant dip of her head showing respect. A pleasure indeed. But to the matter at paw- I think that an alliance between our kingdoms could be beneficial, especially as you grow and expand, which with a leader such as yourself- surely you will. She stated, a neutral expression upon her jewled face. She did think so. He seemed fair, and that he possibly knew what he was doing- a sign that maybe another pride could possibly stick in place. And perhaps should our kingdoms grow in trust, we could offer resources, should need be, in times of hardship. She turned her amber gaze to Hunter, Do you have any things to add, for perhaps either party?

One corner of his mouth twitched higher in subtle pleasure and positive reaction to Volcan's purr and demonstration of affection against his cheek. Otherwise his reaction was calm however as he wished to focus on the other male and not give away too much, such a thing was unwise. After all this was not an ally, nor someone known to him. So while politeness would be offered, any trust would have to come at a later date if at all.

"Certainly it is wise for growing kingdoms to foster alliances. To make sure the two groups are compatible, would you please explain your ruling policies? I am sure my Empress would be willing to do the same in turn." he glanced to Volcan with a little smile. It was vital they made sure that no points of contention existed between the two leader mindsets, otherwise an alliance would be short lived and end....nasty.

Volcan maintained her stance on creating pride relations, which was excellent. His gaze drifted between the ruling pair as they spoke. He appreciated the thought of sharing resources between them. Though Hunter’s question would prompt a detailed response from the striped emperor. "I don’t believe in forcing anyone under my banner unless it is dire circumstances. My ranked lions and lionesses are apart of the decision making of the pride, their opinion matters and carries weight. Allies must be respected." He would explain with ease. "And yours?" He would inquire for the elaboration of their policies. He imagined they would not stray too far from his own, Volcan had already heard his spiel on his own territory after all.

Volcan has heard his plans for his pride before, when he took his claim on the land. But she didn't interrupt as he told of them again, for her king had not been present- nor her king at the time. The empress smiled widely at the similar looking male to herself, and began to tell of her kingdom. I rule in a similar way, a hierarchy based on respect. I take interest in what my people have to say, their needs into consideration, and build upon what needs to be done for the better of them. All i require from my people is respect, and that they pull their weight for the better of Ignis. She stated. It seemed, in fact, they had similar plans. Perhaps one day Runar would create heirs, and they could create a secure alliance through the marriage of cubs between the kingdoms.

Hunter listened quietly, the steadiness of his poison and flame gaze demonstrating the elaborately marked male had his full attention and consideration during the explanation. Prides had come a long way from when his father was a youth, Hunter recalled even the more flexible and progressive lions of that time would flinch at some of the ideals now practiced.

Still while there were a few points he did not entierly agree with, there was nothing at all objectionable in the other male's set of rules and pride behavior. When asked about their traditions in turn his gaze shifted to Volcan. She had not gotten over detailed with them even when it came to Hunter himself, so perhaps he too would learn something new.

Respect was vital. He approved of what was said. There was no need to hold the deadwait that was the unwilling, if one could not be freed then they were best killed rather then kept as a prisoner. His attention shifted back to the other male. "They are similar mindsets. It is unlikely there will be any issues." his smile remained, perhaps growing just slightly, pleased that it seemed there would be an alliance.

He had a general idea that Volcan and he would have similar viewpoints on how to run their prides. A lucky break, perhaps? Regardless, he was pleased. "Aside from aid when necessary and able, is there anything else you'd expect for this alliance to be solidified?" He would inquire further. Ensuring all expectations were brought up now would avoid any miscommunication or other issues later. The striped emperor tucked his tail against his paws as he sat and talked with the ruling pair. It was nice to do some work. Although he had much more ahead of him.. you know.. gaining members.
