Drifting slowly along, quiet and casual strides carried the 'shinny' new King along as piecing poison and flame gaze drank in every detail they fell beneath it. All the rises and falls of the landscape, trees, rock, the lake waters in the near distance.

The air was crisp, cold, coils of warm breath drifted upwards from slightly parted jaws, coiling, twisting before eventually fading into the sky as it climbed.

Heat also radiated from his frame, although less so due to the insulating molten hued fur. The thick trees in this area provided a windbreak, vital given that being close to water tended to lower temperature slightly on average.

With a little smile faintly gracing dark lips Hunter softly called for Volcan. Now that he had gotten the 'lay of the land' so to speak.

They should discuss those who lived in the Kingdom, her children, and her rules for the pride. Such details are vital. Information was power, knowledge invaluable . "...."

His call had been like a beacon to her, exciting and exhilarating to hear. The monster who ruled by her side, the flame that accompanied the lava to flow through their kingdom. Volcan felt no regret over choosing him to rule at her side, his youth simply meant he could still lead long after her death from old age.... Or being killed. Who knew.

Dark paws clicked against the stony floor as the goddess stood in her den, stretching out her body and showing her canines off with a yawn. Eagerly, she exited the sleeping quarters, careful not to disturb any others who may still be resting, and headed towards Hunter's call. Eventually, she spotted his fiery coat between the trees, chuffing at him in greeting as shs approached. "Hello, my king." she purred.

Hunter himself had no as asperations of living to old age, finding such a likelihood highly improbable at best given his particular behavior patterns and personality. However he had no intentions of dying any time soon either and did intend to continue building knowledge and skills to further his abilities to to whatever struck him as amusing at any given time.

How long did he intend to dwell here like this? Presently he had no time limit in mind, planning too far into the future was pointless as the future was constantly in flux....Hunter only knew that for now he was enjoying the way things were unfolding. She approached and his thoughts neatly shift from the abstract to the present as he focused on her nearing figure with a purr.

"Mmmm, well hello to you as well." he rumbled the pleased greeting with playful undertones, a little smile on dark lips while casually approaching as well.

"I was hoping you would indulge my curiosity and tell me about your children, and anyone else who lives in the empire?" He felt it safe to assume that at least a few of her offspring might cross paths with him sooner or later. In particular her older son, the one who 'might not be pleased', yes, Hunter wished for some details on him in particular.

Volcan smiled slyly as Hunter approached her in turn, lowering her body to run her head beneath his chin, and then stepping back. Goodness, he was eye candy. His words made perfect sense to her- he wished to know of his people, including her children. The children she would not tolerate resistence to his leadership from. "Of course. There are my sons, Drazhan and Sefu. Drazhan is the oldest- the one who may not be to happy with you at my side. The one i will tell i do not give a damn what he thinks." she growled, and then let out a sigh to continue. "And then my daughter, Petra. Those are the ones who have joined me, my oldest daughter, middle daughter and youngest, most fragile daughter have yet to arrive." the goddess explained. "Then there is our only regular ranked adult member, Salvador. A smart fellow, loyal. He's a bit.... Underweight at the moment. As a loner he was bad at hunting. But he is intelligent, knows of many languages. He can be useful as an advisor or peacemaker." she mused. "And finally, a little orphan I found while hunting- Rhu. A feisty creature, she is. Plans to 'leave when dhe gets stronger'. I wont stop her, of course- I have a feeling there is something she will be searching for when she goes." Volcan stated, chuckling lightly. "Is there anything else?"

Lids slide half closed and what might be called a satisfied (or even perhaps slightly smug) expression briefly warms sculpted features. Yes. He was quite pleased with his present place in both in life and at that moment. A low purr, one more felt that heard would emit for the duration of time she brushed along under his chin, halting only once he was no longer being touched.

Lids smoothly slide back open to observe her tentatively as she gave some information regarding her offspring. The corner of his maw twitched higher as she specified not giving a damn what her oldest son thought of him once more.

So, two sons. And one Daughter present. Two more daughters who have not yet joined her in these lands. There was one adult member, a male named Salvador. Smart. Hunter would have to meet him and make his own observational judgments shortly. Lastly a feisty youth who intended to depart once old enough.

Another he would have to judge.

"Just a few more, little things." he assured with a silky chuckle "I look foreword to meeting your children. And, I do not mean to offend, but you mentioned creating worthy heirs, do none of your offspring so far qualify?" Hunter was curious where the shortcoming might be, and how it might be reminded in her eyes with future offspring.

"I also believe it would be wise of me to know the laws of the pride hmmmm?" this was said, almost playfully but with a genuine undertone...because seriously the king ought to know these things. His tail moved fluidly behind him before gracefully curling around his haunches so the tuft flickers by his forepaws. If she was closer he would have tried to brush it against her. Playfulness was sparking, but games could wait a couple minutes more. Then...well....he wondered if she was fond of roughhousing?

Volcan sighed softly, a sly smile on her maw. "I simply believe that offspring molded by two worthy parents are more likely to lead properly- not that I did a poor job with a ones I raised myself." she stated, her last words edged with assurance. Of course though- she had been a great mother. She did everything for them, and even in their adult years she still provided for them. "I want the Embre bloodline to have deep roots- to ensure my family will continue long after my death." the ember lit gaze of the empress narrowed slyly, "Not to mention, making heirs is entertaining~" Volcan purred, a smug expression on her face as she swaggered towards Hunter, crouched slightly with her shoulders shifting- as if she would pounce.

His crown would cant slightly to one side and forward in mute acknowledgment to her words. Indeed if they survived to adulthood, and obviously they had, then she had done an adequate job of raising them solo skill wise atleast. Hopefully without instilling the spouse slaying tendencies to the next generation.

He could have teased her regarding her words on death, after all what goddes could die? But thought it best to let that pass for now. Perhaps once they were even more farmilar such a jest could go over smoothly. Wishing for a strong family base was However a desire he had some respect for.

He actually was slightly startled into a laugh at her comment about making heirs being entertaining. Hunter imagined it might be... although the actual producing them likely more interesting than amusing. He would not know having never given birth. "A life can be no better lived then in pursuit of entertainment."

Alert and amused Eyes tracked her approach and posture, rising into a standing and then very slightly bending at the joints in response. Lips pull from pale fangs gracefully, like a curtain rising on stage. Not in aggression, but with the promise of a show to come.

"Do you like wrestling, battle practice? he asked grin widening a hair as body weight shifts slightly and he aims to move closer with a soft, dark, teasing purr
"...although I must warn you, I tend to play rough." he had a tendancy to nip, lightly claw, and so forth even when it was all in the name of fun. Blood was such a lure after all. Although he had never seriously wounded anyone he was fond of....

The goddess felt excitement as the king pulled back his maw into a challenging grin. Volcan drew back her own lips, revealing gleaming fangs with a grin. Oh, how fun! A battle with her rex. She almost swooned. "Oh, my dear- battle is etched into me from the volcano of my home." she stated, a purr in her voice, "I like it a little rough~" a snarl emitted from her maw, excitement blazing in her ember gaze as leapt at him, paws outstretched, aiming to tackle him, paws to wrap around his head to secure herself should she succeed.

'Oh, my dear- battle is etched into me from the volcano of my home.' 'I like it a little rough~'

A soft amused, even anticipatory half laugh - half exhale slips past drawn lips and parted maw. Oh, that was very, very good indeed. They were not very far apart to start with, so his options were somewhat limited as she leapt forward. Hunter was however expecting to be 'attacked' and as such was not caught unprepared.

Hunter's weight shifts over his haunches, hind limbs spreading them into a slightly wider and more stable stance with the joints bending a bit at his 'knees'. His tail flings out behind him and lashes, both to help balance and in simple excitement.

He lifted up slightly, forelimbs leaving the ground whist his head turned slightly to his own right. Jaws sought to close around her lower left foreleg, near the wrist area attempting puncture to capture the limb. Hunter was not aiming to use the full force of his jaws, because this was after all a spar with someone he was fond of ... but he was not attempting to be exactly gentle either.

His front limbs lift and attempted to clap his claws and mitts against the outside of her forelegs as the grasped for his head, attempting to strike against the flesh just above the elbows and drag black claws downwards twoards the ground. Like with the jaws his full force was not employed, lasting damage and scaring was not the goal...but he was trying to do damage regardless, she did like it rough did she not? Besides Hunter was eager for the smell and sight of blood.

The impact of her weight sent him skidding back a few inches before powerful hind limbs and hind claws digging into the ground manage to halt the motion.
As for damage oh his part her paws struck against his flesh, the right one impacting his uppermost neck and the back of his jawline on the left side. Claws sinking in a bit and gouging the flesh bringing forth little rivulets of blood. The left paw struck the uppermost area of the right side of his neck, a little past the hinge of his jaw and doing similar damage as was done to the left side.

Already he could smell his own blood and it lit a fire in his veins...but it was hers he was eager to taste. Besides this would be the first time she would get a taste of his skill, might as well make it a memorable flavor.

Volcan slammed into Hunter, feeling at he shifted back ever so slightly before managing to stop himself- their weights being so similar, brute force would not do much here. Jaws closed around her left foreleg, closer to the paw than joint, and the empress growled, his fangs causing shallow incisions to drip small droplets of blood. Her other leg was grasped by his, stopping the full force of her original blow- and causing his bite to become a bit deeper from the pressure.

Volcan smelled and saw blood from his face, the iron scent invigorating her, sending a furious blaze through her blood- a frenzy setting in. Forceful reminders that this was not meant for serious injury played over and over again in her head, dont maim. Both forelegs still grasped, the crowned woman opened her maw wide, long fangs aimed to grab his upped muzzle, and should she grab hold, shake her head to cause more damage, to taste blood in her mouth.
