Drakon Tollaire

Away from the shoreline he moved. Away from the warmth of the den he shared with Hecuba. He traveled and searched for other Tollaire so that he may be able to know who was all here. Arsynia had made it clear that he should wait and so he would respecting her wishes. Even being older than her and part of him feeling as if it should be him or Vermillion but he does not question it. He does not make a move for he knows the rules of his family. And Drakon is loyal to his family.

Large paws carry the goliath of a man past the sandy towers and towards the undergrowth of the trees that resemble so much of the land before now. But he knew better. Knew that it wasn't and therefore found no reason to go looking for any familiar faces unless he needed to. Unless he knew that they were here but the only ones he knew were here, were a few Tollaires. So the white male walked under the trees with ease.

Many nights felt like they'd elapsed since her time here, though they could not eclipse her memory of the moment she came, crossing the threshold to find her kin. Every time she thought she was done another came from the woodwork, but the young Tollaire did not have as much hope that all would come. She knew that time would separate them and give them their own paths, but she would faithfully follow their family's creed til death drew the last breath from her jaws. The Tollaire women were fierce, a sight to behold unlike any other, and yet they did not standalone from their male counterparts, they boosted one another up until the whole family was ahead. They would forge that path here for them, for those to come after, but she'd yet to decide what pride to even alliance herself to. Arsynia would make that decision, review the stronghold and the family ties, before they were all completely set loose upon this land to wreak the havoc which sung in her heart and ached in her bones. That malevolence and greed that had so gripped the Dragon King had bewitched its way into her, yellow eyes cast upon the rainforest before her, its sprawling paths and surprisingly loud ambiance falling away as she thought of mother and father.

Before her thoughts could unravel there was a scent that crossed her nostrils and steeped within her lungs, a low growl rumbling within her breast, a mild mixture of pleasure and surprise, her breath rising in wisps from her nostrils as she prowled forward. In the path ahead of her his form became clear, and though she knew well enough of him they hadn't had the time to grow in closeness as say her and Vermillion, not even her and Arsynia had near enough the bond that she had with her eldest brother; that was a most coveted feat. Her strong voice resonating loudly. "Drakon...." The trailing tone picking up rapidly as she offered him a wicked smile, the glean in her eyes deepening. "You've come."

REgardless of how little of time they spent together outside of his own family, Drakon still knew her scent and voice. His name on her lips caused him to stop and Drakon would stop walking his path and turn to face which ever direction she had come from. "Erenvel, where else could I have gone?" He teased her. Even though they did not have such a bond - though he would hope that one day they could - he would steal treat her as if he had grown with her until otherwise stated. His own wicked grin forming on his features as he would look her over. She wasn't hurt. That was what mattered.

Indeed there was something in his tone that made her lips spread into a grin, welcoming his cheeky response. It was true, their familiarity was not solidified in the same way her bond with Vermillion was - nor was her bond with Arsynia close to that, but he was family. She would not turn her back nor treat him differently, he held value, and she would always be dutiful to those that shared blood or name. She approached him, tightening the gap between them until it was nonexistent and pressed her skull against his chin. "This is quite different from my previous homes." This place offered so much and yet it was difficult to assimilate, to claim it as their own - and not just the rainforest - all of it. But father had always stated that home was not a place; they could make it happen anywhere, and to be emotionally tied to one place, one thing, was a weakness that could easily be exploited. "Have you seen much of it?" She pulled away once more and distanced herself to a nearby three, looking at the somewhat large base and a column that rose until it faded into darkened mess of leaves in the canopy.

She moved closer to him, closing the gape between them and pushing her skull against his chin. She was smaller than him for obvious reasons but he still welcomed the touch with his own small push. "Nothing will ever be like your home, Sister." Nothing compared to his own homeland. But he made it a home regardless of where he went. "I've seen most of the shoreline and the wastelands, and some Jungles too." But that was it.

Nothing will ever be like your home; the words resonated in the way that drew a small amount of ire from within, knowing that her teachings had always warned her against this. A low rumble rose in her breast at the thought of home, though it was not directed at him as her saffron colored eyes looked back towards him. "I will not be tethered to something I can no longer have, regardless of how I feel about it here." There was a darkness in the second part of her sentence, not even a caution but almost an aggravation. (Fluid timing) "Hardly are there any worthy creatures here, challengers rise and fall and few maintain holds on their own prides. Soon we will have to show them the might of the Tollaire, we will see what Arsynia has to say when I find her." But she was always that way, brash, uncontrolled, and volatile. "Have you any opinion of what you've seen yourself? Any encounters with the others?" It was difficult to contain the impulsive creature that lurked within her, ever wild and untamed and it grew more brazen by the day. The ire could not be tempered either, nor would she have it any other way; this is who she was, and she was every part her father's child as she was her mother's.

Drakon Tollaire

He couldn't agree with her sadly and that was a secret he would keep to himself. Unlike most - if not all - of the Tollaire's he liked to be reminded of his homeland. Of where he had came from compared to the others. It was the only thing that he had in contact with his mother. The last strand of emotion he did have but now shared with his wife. "Home is where our family is." He would muse, though mostly to himself. However, his attention was brought back to reality when she spoke of the lands and those who have taken up a strong hold only for it to fall down crumpling. "I've spoken to Arsynia. Though it has been a bit since I last saw her but she has stated that we lay low and gain allies, and then we will talk about a pride." He had already thought about going for one but as Matriarch, he would wait for her orders like an obedient hound. "The only encounters I have had are with familiar faces that followed my wife and myself, and family members that I haven't seen in months or years. But, this land is fruit full and abundant with life. It will be a grand place for the start of the Tollaire Empire." And he was sure of it.

The instability she'd felt of late still remained there, she wondered how Drakon - did he feel it? - managed to control it. How father had seemed to remain so calm, so collected and yet so calamitous if he'd felt this way as well. She was always so angry, rabidly searching for the next thing to destroy, for something to collect and to call hers - but so much destruction did she release unto others that she felt as though there was nothing left for her to collect, no pieces to pick up. This was the reason why she could not, like Drakon, attach herself to the past. To her she had destroyed it all, gotten rid of every last shred, and in the ruins of that was the absence of her care for it (but maybe she was just too scared to look into the mirror; to see herself at the heart of the blame). "When the time comes, and Arsynia deems our empire to start, we will stand together." Of this she was sure; of family she was sure, and she would give anything for them. What she wouldn't give to not have destroyed her own path before, to go back and fix those things.. but all she could do was go forward and make sure it didn't happen again. "Have you any children, brother? It has been long since I've seen many of our family." She turned a small smirk to him, her eyes resting calmly upon his form while she mulled over her thoughts.

He would nod with Eren's words. He was a Tollaire and would stand with his family til the day he died. If not longer if he could after death. But even still, he was growing impatient by waiting and knew that he couldn't do anything only festered the impatience even further. Though he never let it be known to anyone, not even Hecuba as he would find himself in control with most of his emotions half of the time to begin with anyways, so why cause concern for his wife? So for now he stayed silent and waited like a patient dog waiting for a treat or a bone or anything that his master wanted him to do or give him. Time would only tell how tight that leash was around his neck. But his attention was brought back to reality when he was asked about his own family. "Yes I do, though they seem to be missing currently." It hurt but it hurt much more for Hecuba than him, or so he keeps telling himself. There had been much that hurt him but there wasn't much he could do about it now was there?

Something about the topic made her wonder. She'd never had a motherly pull, at least not any time before now. She felt that she may be a failure, how had mother mustered the strength and desire to raise so many children? She had wanted nothing to do with them, had shown little interest thus far even in any sex. Affections, love, partnership... these were all things that had eluded her in her time. "They will come eventually. Somehow we always find one another." Suppose they were words of comfort, she didn't really know because her tone hadn't changed and she had difficulty conveying sympathies. "We are still creatures of opportunity. If one arises we would be stupid not to act on it." She hoped that wouldn't anger Arsynia, but she also know that they could not always be everywhere at once or let an opportunity pass them. "Alliances are stronger sealed in action, I wonder which of the prides would most benefit us." Fluid timing ftw. "You look a lot like father, you know." The comment came out of nowhere as she looked at him, wondering where their father was now, if he was still alive.
