She is likely not the little plaything the boy is expecting to emerge from her nest of a nearby hollowed tree, the entrance of it covered with a fallen branch to conceal it. Like always, Arcane pulls herself from her den as darkness begins to swallow the land. She blends in easier in the dark, and there’s little threat in being out and alone. It’s early for her, however, but sleep has eluded her for the past few hours and she’s more than a little restless.

The storm coated lioness slips easily through the trees, a soundless spectre in a place unfamiliar and new. She’s been here perhaps a week now and the land is rather… empty, she thinks. If there are prides, she’s yet to find one. Not that she will join whatever kingdom may or may not be out there - Arcane is not a woman to bend to the will of others, no matter how boring and lonesome isolation may be.

The scuffling noises are a surprise - dark ears flick down against her crown, but curiosity pulls her closer to the source. There’s a little cub on a rock, bringing his waifish frame almost level with her shoulders. A brow quirks over a sunset hued eye. "Aren’t you a little young to be out here alone?" She asks placidly, though she does scent the air again to ensure there’s no lurking parent nearby - if there is one, she can’t smell them.
