Forepaw lowered back to the crunching earth as the lion rotated his skull around to decipher the direction from which he could hear faint movement, headed his way. It seemed somewhere to the northeast of where he stood. With almost immediate response, the large ghoul was in motion toward it. Curious cat that he was. Though he was careful to rub his shoulder and haunch onto any protruding shrubbery he passed to assist him in finding his way back.
A lion-kind scent seeped into his ready nostrils only as the small creature finally came in to view. Smyte stopped abruptly in his tracks as ruby stare found the girl, just as she was struck from a falling piece of fruit.
"Are you hurt?" The male rumbled, concerned. Though his expression did not move beyond a frown.
Winged feet desire to take a step toward the young lion cub, but he refrains, knowing well that it might spook the child away into the dense shrubbery. "Where are your parents?" He asks in almost admonishment, wandering out here alone without chaperone was a great risk to take.
