And which would you chose to be a more beneficial ally to us? Drakon asked, and Arsynia's lips pursed in thoughtful contemplation. Kaden had certainly made the largest impression on her, but both he and Barnabas seemed equally ambitious and fortuitous. Arsynia was content to regard them both equally useful, but knew that one of the Tollaire's previous undoings had been allying with different ideals. In the end, they'd had to choose one over the other. “Kaden, perhaps,” she finally affirmed, her ears flicking forward. Barnabas had lacked the same supporters Kaden had seemed to garner at his own claim, and perhaps the Lake King had a better shot at building the army he'd idealized to her. Arsynia had little idea of what these new lands had in store for the new Kings, however. “But we have plenty of time before we align ourselves with anyone else,” she breathed, knowing it was better to let the young prides flourish before dedicating herself to any potential strong allyship. She had more important things to do, after all; what were the Tollaire if they themselves were not an army to be feared and respected throughout?
