It is a beacon that can not be reached. Its placement moves further with each paw step of the followers. Further and further from their reaches as if it played some sort of game that would have no defeat.

Along the way, things began to shift. The air had returned to an almost normal state. The electric buzz that had hung so heavily had begun to lessen as they moved further toward the south. The noise had returned slowly, almost unnoticeable in the background. The sand that stirred seemed to stay around them. Circling the two bodies that had followed the beckoned. Thickened in front as if to hide what was there.

However, just as they reached the southern border and the Wasteland came to an end- the sands fell while all magic seemed to vanish from around and left them with a new sight.

Large rolling dunes stretched before them as far as the eye could see. The heat was obvious as it came from further in. A desert for all to explore. Had it always been there?
