Like any lion, Kaden kept a primarily nocturnal schedule. The sun was not so relentless this time of year, but now it was a habit more than anything. He lumbered with swaying strides across the shores of the Mosmori Lake, having left his own borders for a while to scout out what remained outside of them. He had heard a band of hyenas in the distance the night prior and was trying to make sure that they would not be planning on lingering closeby.

He did not know she was there until he was practically waltzing up to face her. The dark shadows of night managed to cloak the lioness' figure from plain sight, merely a haze of darkness.

"Who is there?" He called out, visibly flustered by the oversight as he lashed his tail behind him like a harsh whip.
