A deep sigh escaped his chest. He walked away from the darkness of his territory into the brightness that was the beach. The sun warmed soaked into his back, a stark contrast to the freezing rain he had to endure over the winter. It was warm but not hot as he walked on the honey-colored sands. The sounds of the waves was music to his ears, just as the sound of the wind rustling the dense canopy was in the forest. He was content to begin browsing through the debris that had washed up on shore. Perhaps there was an interesting shell among the driftwood for him to find.
