Cub of Prideless
Played by Fess

There was a distinct chill to the pre dawn gloom which clung to the word, tinting everything a somber shade of blue grey. The moon had set and all but one or two stars winked away in anticipation of sunlight which would eventually offer scant warmth to that which it touched. A long length of beach stood isolated and chill beneath the ocean wind, the melody of endless crashing waves and an occasional group of seabirds serving a haunting and secluded harmony.

Violet blue and purple eyes glanced out over the endless march of dark crashing waves, fringed by thick black lashes which collected fine sea-mist like tiny droplets of crystal. The owner of this gaze shivered slightly as a particularly biting wind buffeted twilight shaded fur, cutting through the plush expanse to nip at soft skin. It had been a long, cold night curled up in a small hastily dug den amidst the course and biting grass of the dunes. Grains of honeyed sand still clung to slightly dampened ruffled and fluffed out fur. Sunrise could not come soon enough. Although it was cold there was a certain serenity to watching the waves.

Anticipating the coloring of the sky and eventual warmth the cub remained rooted to the spot. What would the water look like once sunrise struck it? Tyveil had never seen the ocean before last evening, and this would be the first time young gaze would observe the spender of sunrise over the ocean. Trying to control and suppress the shivers this lone child draws limbs in tight against a youthful frame and continues to sit, rock still, ignoring the equally biting rumble of hunger...determined to watch the ocean a little while longer.
